Jakarta Provincial Government runs Urban Village Community Economic
Empowerment (PEMK) program to increase its resident’s welfare as well
as economy. Since the program started in 2009 until October 5, 2011,
there have been 248 urban villages in Jakarta received the PEMK fund
of Rp 213,413 billion with total beneficiaries of 86,387 micro
