Tomy Winata: (JP/Jerry Adiguna)Tomy Winata: (JP/Jerry Adiguna)Tycoon Tomy Winata will build a 638-meter building with 111 floors, which is to be named the Signature Tower, the fifth tallest building in the world according to the Arch Daily.

The US$1 billion (about Rp 9.2 trillion) project will be built at the Sudirman Central Business District (SCBD), Jakarta. SCBD is managed by PT Danayasa Arthatama Tbk. In this company, Tomy has only a 0.001 percent share, the public has a 17.58 percent share and much as 82.4 percent belongs to PT Jakarta International Hotels & Development (JIHD) Tbk, tempo.co reported.

In JIHD, Tomy has a 15.87 percent share, Sugianto Kusuma 9.76 percent and Santoso Gunara 0.40 percent. The other shareholders are Indonesians, each with shares under 5 percent, totaling 53.32 percent, and the rest are foreigners holding 20.65 percent, each with less than 5 percent.

The vice president commissionaire of PT Danayasa Arthatama Tbk, Santoso Gunara, refused to comment, but vice president director of Bank Artha Graha Wisnu Janrra confirmed the plan to build the Signature Tower.
