The High School Musical, and Dancing with the Stars season three contestant, Monique Coleman, launches a new web talk show aimed at empowering and inspiring the next generation of tweens and teenagers.
GimmeMo' will showcase the actress with teens about the real issues they face in today's society, bringing awareness to positive organizations designed to help teens advance and focusing on Hollywood's commitment to giving back.
Each 20 minute webisode will focus on a specific topic, including teen homelessness, obesity, becoming environmentally conscious, body image, sex, drugs, and more.
Monique recognizes that today's youth are constantly online, and therefore hopes to connect with them in a way that will inspire and motivate them in the right direction.
“GimmeMo' is different than anything I've ever done being that I've been involved in every aspect of the process. If even one teen's life is positively affected by my work, I'll feel that I have done something great,” says the star.
Every episode of the web talk show will feature expert guest appearances and many of Monique’s celebrity friends speaking in-depth about real issues. Just a few of the celebrities include: Maroon 5, Quinton Aaron (The Blind Side), Annelise Van Der Pol (That's So Raven), Chyna Layne (Precious), Naturi Naughton (Lottery Ticket, Fame), Tatyana Ali (Buppies, Fresh Prince, of Bel-Air, Love That Girl), and KayCee Stroh (High School Musical, Celebrity Fit Club)
The first episode will focus on youth homelessness, and features Quinton Aaron, who portrayed a homeless youth in the Oscar-winning, The Blind Side. In the episode, Monique visits Los Angeles' Covenant House which provides services to homeless and runaway youth and drop in shelter My Friend's Place, as well as an elementary school in Los Angeles where Monique helped students pack hundreds of backpacks with school supplies for homeless youth.
GimmeMo' is presented by Bellaboo, a super-natural skincare collection created by teens for teens.
