A Paris police official says that a package bomb has exploded at the Indonesian Embassy, causing minor damage but no injuries.

The official says an employee at the embassy discovered a suspicious package Wednesday and stepped back in time before the package exploded. The official says no one was injured.

The official was not authorized to be publicly named according to Paris police policy.

The source of the package is not immediately clear.

Police are on site at the embassy in an elegant neighborhood of western Paris.
