Aceh police chief Insp. Gen. Iskandar Hasan is calling on the province’s residents to work hand in hand with local authorities to secure the upcoming regional elections.
“The police are expecting participation and contributions from all residents in performing their duty to secure the upcoming gubernatorial elections,” he said, as quoted by Antara.
Iskandar also said he believed that local support would help police deal with the increasing number of armed criminal cases occurring in the province.
Aceh will hold gubernatorial elections on April 9.
