Actress-turned-politician Marissa Haque has finally apologized to composer Addie M.S. and his wife singer Memes by sending them flowers after exchanging angry tweets for more than a week.
Marissa told media on Wednesday that she had apologized to Addie after passing a dissertation test and obtaining her doctorate from the Bogor Institute of Agriculture (IPB) on Tuesday.
“I really do apologize to Addie M.S. and Memes for what I did,” Marissa said with teary eyes as quoted by tribunnews.com.
In several interviews, Addie said that he was actually expecting a private talk instead of her sending him flowers.
The mother of two made headlines in tabloids and infotainment after publishing a furious posting directed at unknown singer Dee Djumadji Kartika, who is believed to be a member of a trio, of which Memes is also a member. The trio has just released a religious album
Marissa was reacting to a tweet from Dee, who owns Twitter account @deedeekartika, claiming that Marissa had a bogus degree and that her dissertation had been penned by another person.
The ‘tweetwar’ was continued by another tweet posted by Marissa suddenly referring to Addie and Memes as “kamseupay”, a Sundanese term for “tacky”.
The argument expanded, as Marissa’s daughter, news anchor Bella Fawzi, and the couple’s son, teen band member Kevin Aprilio joined the fracas.(swd/dic)
